The BPEC Heat Pump Installer course is designed to provide installers with the knowledge required to correctly install both Air and Ground source heat pumps. This BPEC Heat Pump Installer qualification has been developed in conjunction with the Ground Source Heat Pump Association (GSHPA) ensuring that the training is recognised as demonstrating competence for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.

The course does not cover areas that form part of the main prerequisites.
Pre-Requisites
Candidates MUST hold:
- A recognised Unvented (G3) qualification.
AND MUST also hold
- A recognised trade qualification (the minimum level of qualification being NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing/Heating or equivalent earlier certification.
OR be able to prove
- at least two years verifiable experience
For installers that currently hold the BPEC GSHP qualification:
We offer a half day course accredited by BPEC including training and assessment which will upgrade the BPEC GSHP qualification to the new BPEC Heat Pump Installer qualification. The candidate will have to hold a current BPEC GSHP certificate.
